This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant to step into a hands-on role and make an immediate impact within a fast-paced, multi-site finance team.
The Role
Reporting to the CFO, you will take ownership of the day-to-day financial accounting function, including:
- Leading month-end close, including journals, accruals and general ledger integrity checks
- Preparing weekly and monthly KPI reporting and supporting the CFO with financial analysis and insights
- Managing statutory compliance, including BAS, GST and payroll tax
- Reviewing and improving reconciliation processes across finance systems
- Conducting financial analysis of operations and projects
- Liaising with internal stakeholders across the business to resolve queries and support decision-making
- Assisting with the preparation of financial statements in line with relevant accounting standards
- Identifying and implementing process and system improvements across the group
- CA/CPA qualified with minimum 5+ years' post-qualification experience
- Proven experience owning month-end close and reporting processes hands-on, with minimal oversight
- Comfortable being deeply involved in the detail — this is a doing role, not just an oversight role
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and up-to-date understanding of relevant standards
- Confident communicator, comfortable liaising across all levels of the business
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP/accounting systems
- Able to commit to the duration of the contract
- Based in Perth, with full working rights in Australia
