Payroll Specialist
We’re looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to take ownership of the payroll function in a fast-paced, down-to-earth environment. If you’re confident in end-to-end payroll, thrive in a leadership role, and want to hit the ground running—this could be your next move.
About the Role
This is a hands-on position where you’ll lead the payroll function and ensure smooth, accurate, and timely processing. You’ll be the go-to person for all things payroll, working closely with internal stakeholders and supporting a small, hardworking, friendly team.
- Full end-to-end payroll responsibility
- Lead payroll operations and drive process improvements
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and awards
- Provide payroll reporting and insights to management
- Support onboarding, offboarding, and employee queries
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience in fortnightly end-to-end payroll of 200 employees
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation, superannuation, and tax
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- A proactive, reliable approach and ability to work independently
- Long tenure in the payroll space and a genuine passion for the function
- Experience with payroll systems/software and Excel proficiency
- Great airport location with onsite parking
- Some flexibility around working hours if needed
- Supportive, down-to-earth team with a strong work ethic
