is supporting our client to recruit a Payroll & Reporting Analyst on a contract basis. This role suits someone who thrives on turning complex data into clear, reliable insights — using advanced Excel to support the payroll function through data modelling, reconciliation, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
- Consolidate and validate payroll data across multiple systems
- Build cost and scenario models (pay rises, overtime, allowances, superannuation)
- Reconcile payroll outputs to the general ledger
- Prepare reports and dashboards for management and leadership
- Support audits and compliance checks with clean, well-structured data
- Advanced Excel skills — Power Query, pivot tables, XLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH; VBA/macro experience highly regarded
- Background in payroll, accounting, or finance (CA/CPA welcome)
- Strong experience working with large, complex data sets
- High attention to detail and confidence reconciling numbers across sources
- Comfortable working autonomously in a contract capacity
- Move beyond routine processing into genuine analytical and modelling work
- Contract role with potential for extension for the right person
- Perth-based, supporting a well-established and welcoming team
