Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a medium to large workforce
- Ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time, in line with relevant legislation and awards
- Interpret and apply Modern Awards, EBAs, and employment contracts
- Handle payroll queries from employees and stakeholders in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain and update payroll records, including new starters, terminations, and variations
- Reconcile payroll accounts and assist with month-end reporting
- Ensure compliance with superannuation, PAYG, and statutory requirements
- Support process improvements and system enhancements
- Proven experience in a Senior Payroll Officer or similar role
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements
- Experience processing payroll for 200+ employees (highly regarded)
- Proficient in payroll systems (e.g. SuccessFactors, Chris21, Preceda, Micropay, or similar)
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise across all levels of the business
- Ability to work autonomously and meet strict deadlines
