Payroll Change Lead – 12 Month FTC
We’re partnering with a leading organisation undergoing a significant payroll transformation and are seeking an experienced Payroll Change Lead
to guide the transition. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of payroll operations within a complex, fast-paced environment and to work with a highly regarded organisation.
About the Role
As the Payroll Change Lead, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of payroll transition activities across multiple systems and business units. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders, project teams, and payroll operations to ensure a smooth and compliant change process.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end payroll change initiatives, including streamlining current processes, system transitions, process redesign, team structure and stakeholder engagement.
- Manage and support a large payroll team through periods of change, ensuring continuity and compliance.
- Collaborate with Finance, IT, and external vendors to align project goals and timelines.
- Identify risks, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to maintain payroll accuracy and integrity.
- Drive communication and training strategies to support impacted teams and users.
- Proven experience leading and driving payroll change in a large, complex organisation.
- Demonstrated success managing payroll teams through large-scale transitions or system implementations.
- Strong working knowledge of multiple payroll systems (e.g., SAP Success Factors ECP, ADP, Chris21, Pronto etc.).
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a highly dynamic, project-driven environment.
- Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to lead confidently through ambiguity and change.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
