The opportunity:

Our client is currently seeking an experienced and proactive Legal Secretary, with at least 1+ years experience, to join their Perth CBD office. This is a dynamic role offering exposure across the property law practice group where you will be part of a supportive and professional team.

The role:

They are currently looking for an enthusiastic and professional full-time Legal Secretary (would be open to 4 days a week for the right candidate), to join their property team in the Perth office. They are looking for someone who is able to use their initiative, who is proactive, and is capable and motivated to work autonomously. This role will involve:
  • Liaising with clients and staff
  • Preparation of legal documents
  • Preparation of correspondence (emails, memos and letters)
  • Preparing conveyancing documents, attending property settlements and managing and assisting with management of online platforms such as PEXA, Office of State Revenue and Landgate
  • Monthly billing
  • Opening, maintaining and closing matter files
  • Diary and travel management
  • Administrative tasks including answering phones and recording messages
To be successful in this role you will have:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in property platforms including PEXA, Office of State Revenue and Landgate.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to manage the workflow of multiple fee earners
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills across the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word and Powerpoint, and working knowledge of Excel
  • Have experience using document management and billing systems (such as FileSite and Aderant Expert, or similar)
  • Strong organisational and file management skills
  • The ability to work well with others in a team environment
  • Initiative and the ability to work unsupervised
  • Minimum of one years' experience as a Legal Secretary
