Hunter Manning is delighted to be exclusively partnering with leader in mining services, to appoint a driven and commercially-minded Legal Counsel
to join their corporate legal team in Perth. Operating across the globe our client is renowned for its strong culture, innovation, and operational excellence.
The role will work closely with the General Counsel and commercial teams to provide practical legal support across their global operations.
This is a full-time, permanent role that offers exposure to a wide range of legal matters including commercial contracting, employment law, governance, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide timely, well-reasoned legal advice on a variety of commercial, corporate, and employment matters
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of contracts
- Support compliance, governance, and regulatory reporting activities
- Assist with managing disputes and instructing external counsel
- Monitor legal developments relevant to the mining sector
- Contribute to internal training on legal and compliance topics
- 3–5 years’ PQE, ideally gained in a top-tier law firm or reputable in-house team
- A current practising certificate in Western Australia
- Solid grounding in commercial and/or construction law
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Exposure to the mining or construction services sector (desirable but not essential)
- Familiarity with PPSA, competition law, and employment law is advantageous
