About the Role
Reporting to the Group General Manager – Commercial, this executive role will lead a team of 12 and oversee the delivery of P&C shared services across the Byrnecut Group. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing HR strategy, driving cultural initiatives, and ensuring operational excellence across Australia and international operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of group-wide P&C strategies aligned with business goals.
- Provide strategic workforce planning, organisational design, and change management advice.
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, learning & development, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, WHS, and industrial relations frameworks.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and psychological safety across the organisation.
- Deliver data-driven insights and reporting to support continuous improvement.
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Law, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years’ senior HR leadership experience, ideally within mining or heavy industry.
- Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and influence executive stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of Australian labour law and global HR practices.
- Strong commercial acumen, emotional intelligence, and a collaborative leadership style.
- Experience with HRIS systems (Action HRM desirable).
