Hunter Manning is exclusively partnering with an ASX-listed mining business in the Perth CBD to appoint a Head of Finance.
This is a senior finance leadership role with real scope — you’ll partner directly with the MD, Board and Audit Committee and own the full breadth of the finance function. The role is initially offered on a contract basis with a genuine pathway to permanent, and the business offers flexible, hybrid working.
The Role
- Own the half-year and full-year financial statements and manage the external audit cycle
- Prepare Board and Audit Committee reporting packs
- Manage ASX compliance obligations including Appendix 5B
- Own cashflow forecasting, liquidity oversight and covenant compliance
- Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and strategic planning
- Maintain and quality-assure the corporate financial model
- Govern capex, investment evaluation and scenario analysis
- Maintain the internal controls and governance framework
- Support the company secretariat function
- Lead and develop a small finance team
What We’re Looking For
A seasoned finance professional who has operated at FC or Head of Finance level within the Australian resources sector — technically strong, commercially astute, and comfortable at Board level.
- CPA or CA qualified
- Recent and relevant experience in mining or resources, with ASX-listed exposure
- Proven senior finance leadership with direct Board and Audit Committee accountability
- Strong statutory reporting and ASX compliance background
- Solid treasury credentials: cash forecasting, covenant compliance, lender engagement
- People leadership experience
