About the role
Reporting to the CFO, this is a senior, hands-on role at the heart of the finance function. You will take ownership of financial operations across the business — partnering closely with operations and commercial teams to drive performance and support strategic growth.
Key responsibilities:
- Leading the preparation of monthly management accounts and statutory reporting in line with AASB/IFRS
- Ensuring strong internal controls and compliance with regulatory obligations
- Coordinating annual audits and managing relationships with external auditors and tax advisors
- Owning the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes across all business units
- Delivering detailed variance analysis with clear commercial commentary to senior leadership
- Managing cash flow forecasting, capex planning, and banking relationships
- Leading and developing a capable finance team, driving a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Championing automation and process improvement across finance operations and reporting systems
- CPA or CA qualification (essential)
- 5–8 years of progressive senior finance experience
- A track record of leading high-performing finance teams
- Advanced Excel skills and solid ERP experience (NetSuite, SAP, Pronto, or similar)
- Strong commercial instincts and the ability to communicate financial insights clearly to non-finance stakeholders
- A hands-on, pragmatic style — comfortable operating across all levels of the business
- A highly competitive remuneration package: $150,000–$180,000 base + superannuation + performance bonus
