About the Role:

Good Drinks are looking for a commercially minded and hands-on Financial Controller to join their team in the fast-paced world of FMCG, due to an internal promotion. This role will be pivotal in managing financial operations across production, distribution, and sales channels. You’ll be a key business partner to operations, supply chain, and commercial teams, providing insights that drive performance and support strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Lead preparation of monthly management accounts and statutory financial reporting in line with AASB/IFRS
  • Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with excise and other tax obligations
  • Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors
Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
  • Own the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes across all business units
  • Provide detailed variance analysis on volume, revenue, COGS and overheads, with clear commercial commentary
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support scenario planning
Cash Flow & Treasury
  • Manage cash flow forecasting, capex planning, and banking relationships
  • Monitor excise payment schedules and supplier terms
Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Drive automation and process improvements across finance operations and reporting systems    
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA or CA qualified (essential)
  • 5–8 years’ experience in senior finance roles, preferably within FMCG or manufacturing environments
  • Advanced Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite, SAP, Pronto)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable engaging across all levels from factory floor to executive team
