- Deliver high-level compliance, tax, due diligence, and strategic advice across a complex portfolio
- Conduct in-depth reviews and research to ensure regulatory compliance and commercial insight
- Identify opportunities in tax planning, business restructuring, and growth strategies
- Review complex financials and tax returns, ensuring quality and consistency
- Mentor and develop junior staff, run internal training sessions, and lead by example
- Oversee workflow planning, delegate effectively, and manage competing priorities
- Represent the firm at networking events and contribute to business development
- Track and contribute to team KPIs including budgets, turnaround times, and client satisfaction
- 10+ years’ experience in business services within a mid-tier or boutique CPA firm
- A full CPA or CA qualification
- Advanced technical understanding of Australian tax and accounting issues
- Proven ability to win and retain clients, manage a sizable book, and mentor junior staff
- Experience with advisory services such as 3-way forecasts, due diligence, valuations, and management reporting (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive mindset
- Familiarity with relevant systems commonly used in business services and accounting
